COMMUNITY HEALTH NEEDS ASSESSMENT RFP UPDATE
HASD&IC hosted a bidders' conference call on Tuesday June, 26 2012. The purpose of the bidder's conference call was to answer questions from potential applicants ahead of the RFP submission deadline of Friday June 29, 2012.

Please refer to the Scope of Work for detailed guidance on requirements for a successful RFP application. There are several points of clarification we want to provide ahead of the call:
KEY POINTS OF CLARIFICATION FOR APPLICANTS
   • "The selected contractor will not be expected to determine individual hospital service areas or complete needs assessments/reports for individual hospitals or hospital systems.
   • "Applicants may elect to submit a proposal to complete only the Quantitative Data Identification & Analysis component (Objective 1) of the CHNA RFP. Applicants must be explicit in their application that they are only responding to that portion of the RFP and should adjust their budget request accordingly.
   • "The Qualitative Assessment and Community Engagement component of the RFP (Objective 2) and associated deliverables represent only an initial level of outreach to the San Diego community. A successful RFP response does not require the applicant to plan large community events or create a long-term community engagement or implementation plan.
   • "The Final Report component of the RFP (Objective 3) is meant to be a summary of overall findings from activities conducted as part of Objectives 1 & 2. The Final Report is for HASD&IC member purposes only-the RFP does not require a formal report for public distribution.

The RFP proposal due date is Friday, June 29, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. PST. Late and/or incomplete proposals will not be considered.
